A continuation of the sunflower theme. The idea stemming from a very low point, I had just left teaching, and I was looking for a new direction in my life, a good friend bought me round a bunch of sunflowers, and they were literally “Pure sunshine” in my home and I had to get painting. It symbolises a major turning point in my life. I added gold leaf to represent my potential, but the leaf panels are a little jagged and uneven as life felt so unbalanced.
